 China National Chemical Engineering No. 16 Construction Co., Ltd. Egypt Branch (hereinafter referred to as “CNCEC-CC16 Egypt Branch”), a subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering No. 16 Construction Co., Ltd. (CNCEC-CC16), is one of the core overseas entities of China National Chemical Engineering Group in North Africa and the Middle East. Since entering the Egyptian market in 2016, CNCEC16 Egypt Branch has actively responded to the Belt and Road Initiative and closely aligned with Egypt’s “Vision 2030.” By the end of 2018, it had completed all legal registration procedures and obtained full qualifications to independently undertake and execute various engineering projects in Egypt, establishing itself as one of the most influential Chinese enterprises in the Egyptian construction industry.

The company holds a Class I construction qualification issued by the Egyptian Federation of Construction and Building Contractors (EFCBC), enabling it to undertake large and medium-sized engineering projects across sectors such as petrochemicals, new energy, residential construction, and municipal infrastructure. Leveraging the parent company’s robust technical resources and engineering management capabilities, the Egypt Branch has established a mature and stable operational system in project construction, resource organization, and localized management.

Since entering the Egyptian market, the CNCEC-CC16 Egypt Branch has successfully completed numerous landmark key projects spanning multiple sectors, including chemical engineering, new energy, industrial plants, and commercial complexes. Representative projects include:
· Petrochemical and Industrial Projects: The NCIC Phosphate Fertilizer Project in Egypt and the Angel (Egypt) Factory Project, among others, demonstrating the company’s status as a “national team” in the chemical engineering sector.
· New Energy Projects: The company participated in the construction of the Aswan Benban Solar Park in Egypt and the 500-megawatt Suez Bay Wind Farm—currently the largest in Africa and the project with the highest single-unit capacity in Egypt—injecting green momentum into Egypt’s energy transition.
· The company places great emphasis on localization, adheres to lawful and compliant operations, and continuously promotes the localization of its management team. During project implementation, the company actively recruits and trains local Egyptian engineering, technical, and management talent, establishing a stable local employment mechanism that has created a significant number of jobs for the local community. To date, it has provided over 7,000 jobs in Egypt, earning a strong market reputation and social recognition.
